Pi Network has rolled out a major technical enhancement by integrating an RPC server into its Testnet. This upgrade allows developers to interact directly with the blockchain, eliminating previous SDK constraints and speeding up application testing cycles.

The new RPC server supports essential functions—including balance inquiries, transaction monitoring, block data retrieval, and direct transaction submissions—without the need for a full node. This infrastructure lays the groundwork for advanced decentralized applications such as exchanges and marketplaces, while aligning with Pi's Protocols 21–23 upgrade timeline through May 2026.

Node operators are required to implement these mandatory updates, which are crucial for the upcoming deployment of smart contracts and the overall scalability of the Pi ecosystem.
